Google Ads — I see my MCC but not the sub-account

Walkthrough for selecting the leaf account under your manager (MCC) account, and how to switch between accounts mid-report.

What's happening

Google Ads has a manager / sub-account hierarchy: an MCC (My Client Center) sits above one or more child ad accounts. When AgencyLens lists the accounts your Google login can reach, it includes both — but the MCC itself doesn't have campaign data. To report on a specific client, you need to pick that client's leaf ad account, not the MCC.

In v1 we show all accessible accounts in one flat dropdown, with a "— manager" suffix on the MCCs so you can tell them apart. The leaf account is the one that owns the actual campaigns.

How to fix it

  1. In the AgencyLens Google Ads panel, open the Account dropdown.
  2. Look for entries without the "— manager" suffix — those are leaf accounts. The customer ID format is XXX-XXX-XXXX.
  3. If you see an MCC but not its children, that means your Google login has access to the MCC but not to the specific sub-account. Ask the MCC's admin to grant you direct access to the sub-account (Google Ads → Admin → Access and security → People).
  4. If you only manage one client and see only the MCC: you likely connected with the wrong Google account. Disconnect, then reconnect with the Google account that has direct access to the leaf account.
  5. Once you pick the right account, the date-range + Fetch data buttons enable. Click Fetch.

If you manage many MCCs and many leaf accounts, the dropdown can get long. We're adding hierarchical grouping in a future release. For now, the descriptive name + the customer ID in parentheses should be enough to identify the right account.

When to email support

If you have direct access to a leaf account (verified in ads.google.com), the account doesn't show up in our dropdown after reconnect, and the developer token approval has completed — that's worth a support ticket. Email [email protected] with the customer ID, your role on the account, and the Google login email you used.
