My GA4 property is not visible after I connect

Make sure the Google account you signed in with has GA4 admin or analyst access to the property. Refresh the property picker once permissions are corrected.

What's happening

After you connect Google Analytics, AgencyLens fetches the list of GA4 properties the connected Google account can access — and shows them in the property dropdown. If a property you expect isn't there, the most common cause is that the connected Google account doesn't have an analyst role (or higher) on that GA4 property. Read-only viewers won't show up via the API.

Another common cause: you have both Universal Analytics (the old "tracking ID" version) and GA4 properties under the same Google account. AgencyLens only lists GA4 properties — UA was sunsetted in July 2023 and the API we use returns GA4 only.

How to fix it

  1. Go to analytics.google.com and sign in with the same Google account you connected to AgencyLens.
  2. Click the property switcher at the top-left. Confirm you can see the property you expect.
  3. If you can't see it there either: ask the property's owner to add your email at Admin → Property → Property access management with the Analyst role.
  4. If you can see it but AgencyLens can't: go to Admin → Property access management, click your email, and confirm your role is Analyst or above (Editor, Marketer, Administrator all work; Viewer does not).
  5. Back in AgencyLens, click Disconnect on the GA4 panel and Connect again. The dropdown will repopulate with current data.

When to email support

If you have Analyst role on the GA4 property, you can see it in analytics.google.com, but it doesn't appear in AgencyLens — email [email protected] with the GA4 property ID (you can find it in Admin → Property settings), the email you connected with, and confirmation that you've already tried disconnect-and-reconnect.
