Meta ad account not visible after I connect Facebook
Business Manager permissions are the most common cause. Your user role on the ad account must be Admin or Advertiser, not Analyst-only.
What's happening
Meta's Marketing API only returns ad accounts where the connected user has at least Advertiser role (or higher) on the underlying Business Manager. If you're an Analyst-only on the account — which is the common setup for read-only collaborators — the API filters it out of the /me/adaccounts response, and AgencyLens sees nothing to show.
Another common cause: the connect flow used a personal Facebook account that isn't a member of any Business Manager. Personal Facebook accounts can have personal ad accounts ($ spent from personal cards) but those aren't accessible via the Marketing API; only Business Manager ad accounts are.
How to fix it
- Open Business Manager → Ad accounts.
- Click the ad account you expect to see in AgencyLens.
- Under People, find yourself and confirm your role is Admin or Advertiser. If it's Analyst, ask the Business Manager admin to upgrade you. (Analyst is read-only at the BM level and excluded from the Marketing API.)
- If you don't see your account at all in Business Manager, the ad account isn't in a BM. Have an admin claim it via Business Manager → Settings → Accounts → Add.
- Once permissions are fixed, in AgencyLens click Disconnect on the Meta Ads panel and Connect again.
When to email support
If you have Advertiser role on the ad account, the account is properly in Business Manager, and AgencyLens still doesn't list it after reconnect — email [email protected] with: the ad account ID (the "act_XXXXX" number), your Facebook user ID, the Business Manager name, and a screenshot of your role on the account in BM.
